Science confirms what all art lovers already knew in their heart: art appreciation promotes high-quality of life and makes you really feel very good. Art therapy is clearly demonstrating that it effectively addresses a lot of somatically-based situations such as trauma reactions, posttraumatic tension and depression as effectively as lots of neurological and cognitive issues. However, art as therapy is a fairly close match to lots of other non-therapy approaches, mostly in the realm of art teaching.
